The Play School is an exclusive Kindergarten wing of Sister Nivedita School and the school provides right ambience for the children to learn.

It aims to arouse the interest of learning in a child’s mind. To bring out the best in a child, we lay emphasis on practical activities along with book learning. To blossom the innate talent of a child, healthy competitions are held regularly like dancing, singing and drawing as well.

Our Staff

Our staff is highly qualified, experienced and trained to educate and supervise the tiny-tots in large and small groups. They take motherly care of the children and make them perfectly comfortable in a homely environment. Periodic interaction with parents helps to keep them informed about the child’s progress.

Infrastructure

The Play School has an exclusive area with convenient space for the kids to play and learn. The spacious play ground, activity hall and play equipments induce the learning in children while they play. Practical activities are held to enrich the vocabulary and to kindle the scientific temper in the children. This enhances the interest of the children for indoor and outdoor activities. The Play School children also have audio/video sessions, presentations through multimedia and CD’s for better understanding.

Curriculum

The medium of instruction is English.

The subjects taught are as follows :

Nursery - English, Number Work, GK, Rhymes - Only Oral Work.
LKG      - English, Number Work, GK, Rhymes.
UKG     - English, Number Work, EVS, Second Language (Hindi/Telugu), Creative Work, GK, Rhymes.

THE BASICS

Admission Criteria

Particulars of age for admission are as follows :

Nursery - 2 years, 3 months
LKG       - 3 years, 3 months
UKG       - 4 years, 3 months

The age is reckoned as on 1st June of the year.


Admission Procedure

For gaining admission to The Play School, it is primarily essential to register the child’s name. Registration forms will be issued in the school office in December/January every year on payment of the prescribed fee. After registration, parents along with their child are required to come to the school for interactive session on the intimated date. This session will enable them to know about the course schedule and various activities of The Play School.


Uniform

Boys - Red Checked Romper (short type), dark biscuit coloured shirt (half sleeves), black leather shoes, red socks with beige colour band.

Girls - Red Checked Romper (skirt type), dark biscuit coloured blouse/shirt (half sleeves), black leather shoes, red socks with beige colour band.


Timings
Monday to Friday - 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
